About Me

Hi there!  Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you can stay for a while.  I’ll pour us a couple of glasses of wine.  We can sit outside in the porch swing and have a chat while listening to the cicadas sing their summertime serenade.

My plan with this particular blog, initially, was to post at least one picture per day, every day for a full year.  I did that from Dec. ’11 – Dec. ’12.

I had planned to read and study the Bible in 365 days and blog daily on what we studied.  I will eventually get back to this.

I’m Carol and a Mississippi girl, with part of my heart up north where there’s zero humidity and lots o’ rocks to climb/scramble and trails to hike; more of a possibility of snow in the winter.  Skiing…  But Home for me is wherever my mom and daughter are.  As long as we’re together, I’m Home.  ;)

I’m a roaming photographer in search of new experiences, new sights, new vision.  Toting around my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2 (not a bad quality digital camera for the inexpensive price), and dreaming of one day owning a Canon EOS 5D Mark II 21.1MP Digital Camera.

More so, I’m a writer, and have been since I learned how to write.  Before that, I was a storyteller.  I would set my dolls and stuffed animals in front of me and I would make up stories to tell them as well as sing them songs I made up.

I am currently working on the first book in a series.  I had started books 1 and 2 and then had a dream which led to a new beginning, so a different book 1 but honestly feel it should come later after books 1, 2 and 3, sort of like the movie “The Hobbit” came out years after “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.  It’s the back story before the story.

I’m also working on a piece of nonfiction but no free time lately to work on much of anything creative.  I’m a WAHM (work at home mom) with 47 hours worth of contracts per week, plus running after a busy teenager, plus cooking meals, plus walking dogs for what seems like every 30 minutes, and… and… and…

I’m a seeker.  Always looking for my purposes.  Always seeking…

I blog on a variety of topics.  Just a few are:  Creative writing, the Bible/God/Jesus & Spirituality, Nano (Nanowrimo), cooking, baking, photography, road trips/travel, my sweet family, our silly furballs, living in the countryside, and life in general.

I had been obsessed with a new YouTube video project (as I’ve spoken about earlier in my blog) and I will be updating regarding this if I ever get a free moment to actually take part in this new experiment.  I planned to get this started by Nov 1, 2014.  Life happens and currently, I work too many hours to devote to this.  Hopefully, I’ll catch a break soon.  But when I do receive free time, my book series is first on my mind, right after family time.  Family first.  Then work.  Then writing.  Then everything else.
