Shriveled Up and Sleeping

This will probably be somewhat of a boring post. I just thought I’d share something that I found kind o’ cute.

Did you know that clover sleeps? I was walking Buddy one night and noticed all the clover was all shriveled up and sleeping. I don’t think I ever noticed before.  I think I noticed the flowers close and sleep, but didn’t notice how the shamrocks laid down and went to sleep.

And here it is in the morning, all bright eyed and bushy tailed.
I believe they are called Oxalis rubra, although I just call them clover/shamrock. I have them all over the place. I have white ones, lavender ones, hot pink, and baby pink. Not sure if my grandmother planted these or the folks who owned this house first. They are great for ground cover, but man! They take over your yard for sure.

Sorry if this one is boring. Doesn’t take much to interest me, eh? haha! Oh, Hallie is all well. Her fever broke last night and she went to school this morning and had a great day!  Thank you for all your well wishes, again.  Now, Mama is feeling sick. Not hurting too bad from the surgeries, but her stomach feels gross. Hoping she’ll feel great tomorrow after a good night’s sleep. And I hope all of you have had a beautiful day and have a lovely night’s sleep, as well.

Love ya! *hug*

  1. Actually, Carol, I found your little blog post rather interesting. I’ve gardened for many a year off and on, and didn’t know clover slept, so you taught me something today. Thanks for the lesson. 🙂 I hope Hallie is feeling better tonight.

  2. That is so beautiful hon. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
So glad to hear Hallie is better but sorry about Mama. She needs some honey too. heheheh.
Lots of hugs and smooches to you all hon!

      1. Hallie has been well all week. She got better last Sunday night. Wasn’t looking real forward to going to school that Monday, but she did great all week, thank goodness. Thanks for checking on her and for all your healing energies you sent. They worked! 😉 *lots o’ hugs and smooches sent right back to you all* MWAH! xoxoxo

    1. Aw, y’all are the sweetest! Thanks, Gerry. We are all well. Thank you. Mama will be right as rain in no time. She’s workin’ out those muscles, so that’s a good thing. 😉 I hope you and your family are well. Hugs to all of you!

    1. Aw, thanks dahlin. Hallie’s great. Mama’s belly is better but her arm’s a bit sore today. No surprise with having 3 surgeries at once. She’ll heal up in time. She just needs to work it out every day and it’ll get there. I hope you and your family is well? *big squishy hug* 😉
