Weekly Photo Challenge: Journey

So, I’ve probably posted this shot of the Grand Canyon before, I’m not sure.  But, while I was scanning my shots from one of our favorite roadtrips that are actually on a flashdrive, I came across the Grand Canyon photos and this place had been on my bucket list since I was little, so seeing it up close and personal was a dream come true for me and something I’ll not soon forget.

Some say it’s not where you go and what ya see, it’s who ya travel with, and that is true.  It’s not about where you go, but to me, seeing the world’s beauty, traveling, especially by car, so you can see it, touch it, smell it, drink in the beauty surrounding you, with those you love the most…well…to me, there’s nothing more beautiful in life than that.

Wherever we go, it doesn’t matter, as long as we go together.  Because no matter what we see, whatever it is, if we’re together, then it will be beautiful.  To me, life is about spending up every precious minute with the people you love the most in this world, loving each other, laughing together, sharing your life, and taking in the beauty that surrounds us every day, and believe me, God created so much beauty in this world.  You can live 120 years and still not have had enough time to appreciate all its wonders, magic and beauty.

Life is a journey.  It is meant to be lived.  To do what Mr. Frost said and take the road less traveled, to go down those paths unknown, see something beautiful that perhaps no other eyes have ever seen, to appreciate all that this world has to offer, and to share that beauty and wonder with those closest to your heart.  Live it up.

We are all on our own journey.  What’s yours?
