Weekly Photo Challenge: Everyday Life

Hallie and I had been working in the yard all day long.  This was a little over a week ago.  The weather was absolutely perfect and we worked and worked and worked.  She usually complains when we do yard work; mostly, because it’s so completely miserable out there, but not on this day. Mama had been doing a few things outside, as well, and she walked over for a visit, so we all took a water break together.  My two sweet li’l babes.  Gotta love em!  ;)

Weekly Photo Challenge: Dreaming

I felt I was dreaming while gazing into this beauty.  With the sound of the surf and the seagulls in surround sound, the scene went along with this perfectly, and I was transported to…well…vacationland.  Calgon finally took me away.  (Oh, and sorry for the…om…tongue twister.  It wasn’t on purpose.  Honest.)    ;)

If it’s as good as Thursday was, I’ll be as happy as a clam…with the exception of the thunder hitting so hard, it sounded like the building was caving in on me.  I jumped clear outta my chair!  I’m sure, had anyone else been there, it would have been a Kodak moment, for sure.  After breathing a sigh of relief, I had a nice laugh with myself.  ;)   Silly rabbit.  Silly me.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Movement


We were on a bridge and this train was traveling in the same direction on their’s.

Again, going through Mobile, AL, just a couple of minutes after we passed through the tunnel.


The land and water vehicle can just drive straight into the water. Can you see the propeller at the back? Never seen a vehicle like this one.

Having a great vacation in Panama City Beach, FL.  We swam with the dolphins Saturday and it was completely awesome!!!!  Hope y’all are havin’ a good time with whatever y’all are doin’.  Soooo, what ARE y’all doin’?  ;)

Weekly Photo Challenge: Create #2

A painting in Aqua The Day Spa at the Renaissance.  I could not find the artist’s name but I find the art quite peaceful and calming.  Don’t you?  A good choice for the Quiet Room, I think.

I wish I could afford to go back to Aqua.  I need a massage!  I’ll have to break down and schedule something in July or August for sure.  If you have never had a full body massage, I FULLY recommend.  You will feel like jello for about a week and live on Cloud 9.  The facials aren’t too bad, either.  ;)

Y’all go out and have yourselves a beauoooootiful Sunday.  Try to not get too hot.  It was a scorcher out there yesterday, but that Chai Tea Frappe made me feel all better.  Nom nom.

Oh, and I apologize, since this pic was also taken with my ex (iphone) several months ago.  My new Samsung Infuse takes much better, less grainy photos.  Although, I prefer my digital cam.

I meant to post this yesterday, but never found the time to.  Does it still count?  Or should I have titled it ‘Yesterday’?

This was en route home.  I was wondering what the hold up was.  This particular truck was on the interstate while this little old lady in a small car was driving wayyyy far back behind it.  Bless her.  I suppose her eyes were deceiving her, thinking the door was actually open.  ;)   Interesting idea to paint this on the back.  Anyway, I whipped around the lady, followed this vehicle to my exit and snapped a shot.

Hope y’all are having a beautiful day out there today.  It’s not too hot here.  Yesterday was sooo perfect, high of 76.  Today it’s 84, but not in the 90′s or 100, so I’ll take it!  Y’all get out there and enjoy your day.  Breathe in and take in the fragrances.  Exhale and gaze upon the beauty that’s around you.  Even if it’s just the sky.  There’s beauty everywhere, if ya just look for it.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Unfocused

I hope you enjoy my unfocused, fuzzy photo of Hallie trying to figure out her own digital camera.  Unfortunately, it was quite the pitiful camera and maybe lasted a week.  It was a cheapy.  She was 8 here, when we were at Disney.  We were standing on the balcony of our room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  We got a couple of cute shots of the animals down below, too.  Perhaps I’ll post those another day, since those were actually in focus.  Who knew?

Ah, Hallie.  My little cutie patooty.  And my favorite subject, if you haven’t figured that one out by now.  The stormy sky would probably be my second favorite subject.  What do you think?  I also sooooo love the mountains.  The Grand Canyon.  Traveling and the scenery along the roadside.  I think I could totally make a living on the road snappin’ photos, travelin’ around the globe, if that paid me anything, I mean.  Wouldn’t THAT be the job of a lifetime?  Besides being a mother, of course.  ;)

Hope you had a most lovely day.  May we all have a restful evening.  I’m off to put away clean clothes and wash the supper dishes.  Yummy spaghetti, spinach and iceberg caesar salad and garlic toast.  An easy supper.  I don’t normally care too much for spaghetti, but I suppose it was right tasty.  Must have been.  Hallie and I both ate every bite on our plates!  ;)

I had been snappin’ a few shots of this tree against the beautiful azure sky and got a couple with the sun shining through.  I liked how the sunlight sort of outlines some of the leaves with white light.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Two Subjects


This is Socks, Mama’s pit bull. And Miss Lilly, of course, our mini-dox. They were puppies together and oh how they loved to play together. Here is Socks with her ‘mean’ face on, saying “Geet down heeer so I can shew you up an spitch you out!  I pity da fooo!”  And Lilly’s sayin’, “Sewiously, girlfwan?”

Now, Socks is sayin’, “Wha, wait a meeenute! You tuppose ta feeer da pit.” And Lilly’s like, “Aw, gimme a bwake.”

“Ya ain’t skeeered? Not eeeven a leeetle? Dankflummit!” And Lilly’s just sayin’, “Yooo ain’t wight in da hed.” ;)

Well, got all the mowin’ done today. Got a little sunburned, but I ain’t sweatin’ it. I like gettin’ a little sun, and man, it felt good out there today! Beautiful outside! Kept checkin’ on Hallie and her fever went up as high as 101.9. Went up and down all day. Made her get outside and get some fresh air and walk a little. Exercise will do ya good. You can’t just lay down all the time. You have to convince that body to heal. Now, her temp is 98.6. Let’s just hope it stays that way. She seems to be doing better, but her throat hurts, so I’m gonna go give her some more medicine and Mama love.

Mama got out and worked in the yard, mowed with the little mower, picked up sticks, and did a great job out there! So proud. Just hoping she didn’t overdo it. Praying she sleeps great and wakes up not hurting too bad.

So, how was y’alls day? I hope it was a completely terrifical one! Love you! *squish* :)
