October Photo Challenge: Mad Woman with the Murderous Pen

Here she is, the mad woman, herself. With pen in hand, she looks as if I may be her next victim. Nostrils flared, she is crazy ready to pen someone, or something. Quick! Someone! Grab a…notebook or piece of paper. Ok, I know I’m not that funny. Funny looking? Perhaps. I just thought this eerie photo would be a fun way to end the October Photo Challenge. Hmmmm, now what for November? Perhaps back to the same ole? Yeah, I think so. Need to get to some of those other fun challenges out there. Although, I might throw a bone out there once a week. Maybe.

I have so enjoyed doing this daily challenge during the month of October, and moreso, seeing all of your great entries. October is truly a beautiful month, with fun and exciting adventures and a great time of year for makin’ memories. But then, every day of the year is good for that. I do love the Fall weather and colors and cookin’. Here is to Autumn and soon to follow Winter, and to all of you. Hope ya bake up somethin’ good! Thanks to each of you that participated. You made it much more fun!

Love ya! *smooch*

October Photo Challenge: Teasing Storm Clouds

And that’s all they are…  Teasers.

We have not received much rain this month.  One thing I love about October, and any other month, for that matter, is a good stormy, rainy day.  The sound of raindrops drumming on the roof, dancing down the windowpanes; its rhythmic notes place me in a sort of trance, a state of peace, like nothing else quite does.

And the beauty and strength of the oncoming storm, or even after the storm is on its way out, puts me in a state of awe with all the changing shades of blue and gray as dark and colorful backdrops for all the greens in the landscape.  God makes some awesome canvases.

Although, I believe I prefer to be dry rather than be in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.  If you are a praying person, please keep those people on Sandy’s route in your prayers, before and after the storm.

Y’all make it an amazing day!  Love ya!  *squish*

October Photo Challenge: Brace Faced Beauty

Perhaps it’s not all that Octobery, but it was taken during the month and one October memory, among many, will be taking as many photos of Hallie as possible with her braces, since she gets them off in November.  She’s soooo excited to be getting them off, although she and I have enjoyed her brace face.  Parting with them will be bittersweet.  I miss her crooked teeth smile, too, though.  It was just her, if that makes sense.  I’m sure she won’t miss how hard it is to floss with those suckers, and how carefully you have to brush, putting on and removing bands.  And my finding bands ALL over the house, EVERYWHERE I look.  ;)

Y’all have an awesome Monday!  Love ya!  *squish*

October Photo Challenge: Pouty Tinker Bell

Hallie was a fairy sprite for Halloween 2009.  I have all of her costumes for each of her Halloweens.  I hold on to those sweet memories.  I think it’ll be fun for her to look at them one day and also see those photos of her wearing them.  Soooo cute.

October Photo Challenge: Birthday of a Munchkin

Well, she wasn’t actually a munchkin, but she was closer to being a munchkin than she is now. The girl is nearly as tall as I am and she’s only 13! I do believe she’s gonna clear 6.0 before long. I’ll be lookin’ up at her! I miss those little eyes lookin’ up at me. We are more eye-to-eye now. ;) Well, mostly. ;)

This was Hallie on her 10th birthday. She wanted to go to Harry the Potter, which was a ceramics place where you pick your ceramic, you paint it, they glaze and fire it and you get it back in a few days. She invited seven of her closest peeps and we all had a great time, even though the staff was a bit disorganized. Ceramics, then pizza and soda, then cake! I think I cried when she turned double digits. :’( They grow up tooooo fast!

Our Jack-o’-lantern from 2009. Hallie and I have so much fun carving our pumpkins every year.

Happy Fantastical Friday! Hope y’all have an amazing day! Soooo happy it’s Friday! Uh-huh! Uh-huh! I’ll have to muster up some energy to do my happy dance in a little while. I’m still asleep. Dreaming, dreaming, dreaming makes for a long night. Love ya! *squish*

October Photo Challenge: Hallie & Sophie

One of my favorite photos of all time. Hallie’s favorite thing in the world is to ride horses and I love to watch her. For me, it’s more fun in the Fall and Winter months, as it’s just way too hot in the summer here to do this kind of stuff, although we do anyway. Summers in Mississippi SUCK! I like to ride, too, on occasion, but I prefer to have my feet on the ground. I do love horses, though. They are so affectionate, soulful and highly intelligent creatures. Here is Hallie and Sophie in October 2009. She’s 10 in this pic.

It’s Friday Eve, y’all! Yea!! My friend, Sherree, and I will have the office all to ourselves today! I’ll actually get to clear my desk and file! I have 2 stacks of work waiting on me and 3 stacks to file. I’ve been so busy, I’ve had no chance to file. The guys will all be out on a big job today. Yea! Freedom! And no grumpmeister to deal with. Woo-hooo!! Y’all have an awesome Thursday. We’re gonna! Love ya! *squish*

October Photo Challenge: Foggy Mornings

Yesterday morning, a foggy drive to school and work. Not much visibility. Perhaps why I got to work 30 minutes late. Today was another thick, foggy morning. I don’t care to drive in it, but I must admit, it’s very Halloweenish. I love eerie. Kind o’ cool. ;)

Y’all have a wonderful Wednesday. It’s all downhill from here, right? And not in bad way. More of a coasting through the rest of the week. Easy breezy. Love ya! *smooch*

October Photo Challenge: We Have a Jumper!

I guess I’m a little carried away with state fair photos. This is Hallie’s visit to the fair 2009. She was 10.

Any time she sees these jumpy things (I don’t remember what they’re called, but that works), she begs me to ride it. I think they still have one at the mall, or they did the last time we went.

Y’all have a totally terrifical Tuesday! We’re gonna! ;) Love ya! *squish!*

October Photo Challenge: Libby Lu

This is from the same day as I posted yesterday. First, we went to the fair. Then, we went to her birthday party at Libby Lu with 4 of her closest friends. They get their hair all prettied up, cute little flashy dresses, then they dance to fun music in front of the entire store, which was inside Belk Department Store. An instructor teaches them dance steps and then they dance it all out to the music. They get to pick little prizes/gifts at the store, and the stuff goes into a little jazzy backpack. Then, Hallie opened up all her gifts. Oh, and the birthday girl gets to wear the crown. tehe! She was turning 9. Seems like yesterday. Still hard to believe she’s 13…going on 20! Lord, help me.

Hope y’all had a fantabulous Monday. Mine was alright. No complaints. Have a lovely evening. *smooches and hugs*
