A Different Kind of Jelly Belly

One of the coolest jellyfish I’ve ever seen, and there are tons of different ones.  You should see ‘em.  They look like leeetle glowing aliens.

Tennessee Aquarium, Chattanooga, TN

Hope y’all had an awesome day.  Ours was pretty good for a Monday, and that’s sayin’ A LOT!  Have a restful evening.  I’m shuttin’ it down and we’re off to beddie bye.  *smooch*

Day 121 of my Project 366.

Cash, Check or Charge?

Or she could be a grocery store clerk/cashier.  Nothin’ wrong with that.  I can see her doing this as an after school and weekend job, perhaps, after she turns 16.

Hope y’all had a lovely weekend. Mine was pretty good, I must say. Worked out in the yard all day Saturday, and I mean ALL day. 10am till 5pm. Got a little sunburned, but it’s pink, not too red. Got groceries today and fixed supper for Hallie and me, and invited Mama over, and we all enjoyed. Parmesan crusted chicken with lemon dijon sauce, mashed taters with chicken gravy, crock pot mac & chz, sister shubert rolls, ran outta time to make the salad, and cherry cheesecake for dessert.  Y’all want some? I have leftovers for days! Everything was a big hit. Makes me happy! Yeah, it’s nice when I don’t burn somethin’. ;)

If ya didn’t notice, I’ve been watchin’ Food Network again.  My faves are Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, Pioneer Woman, Cupcake Wars, Sweet Genius, and I haven’t had time to watch the others I’ve recorded,  yet, like Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, but Anne is a very talented chef, indeed!  I’ll get around to watching her, too.

Y’all have a restful evenin’. I’m off to bed. Dog tired! My desktop comp is still freakin’ out, but alas, I finally got to download a shot on my laptop, so YEEEE-HA! Me. Happy. Camper. or Uploader. or somethin’. Anyway, g’ night. *squishy hug*

Sky on Fire

Actually, it’s not on fire, but it looks like it could be. This is a rerun, peeps. My comp is acting temperamental and needs a time out. Better that than chucking it out the window, right?

This is from our roadtrip, July 2010, when we went through those 12 or so states, and this pic was in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It had been a strange drive through this area. One minute, beautiful. Next minute, cloudy. Next minute, thick hail clubbing my car on the interstate. This photo is from the parking lot of the hotel we stopped at. It sort of looks like there’s an eye of a hurricane up there in all that stormy chaos. I thought it was beauoooootiful! A stormy sunset.

Maybe tomorrow, my computer will actually upload a photo?! Grrr! Argh!!!

Hope y’all had a mahvelous day, dahlins. ;) *smooch* I’m off to bed, and I’m missin’ my munchkin. She’s at a Girl Scout camp for the night, but will be back tomorrow. I was getting the bed ready to get into and found this shhwweeeeeet love letter she left me under my pillow for me to find. Oh, I love that leetle squish soooo much it hurts.

Sleep tight! Love ya!

Day 118 of my Project 366.

A Dentist in Her Future?

Oh, another busy one, so this is all I got.  Sorry to be in such a hurry the last few days.  Or maybe month or two.  Ugh!  I’ll spare you my bad mood anyway.  Messing with my so-called phone company, AT&T; my computer at work will only send like 10MB at at a time, so I had to scan, upload and email one document, split into 5 separate scans and emails. Dog-gone-it!  Just one of them days, I guess, and we all have ‘em.  I just wanna go to bed now.  Was on the phone with AT&T for about 2 hours today, at least, because some of those people refuse to do what they say they’re gonna do.  Ain’t that fun?  Sorry, I guess I didn’t spare you my bad mood, after all.  :(  Please don’t shoot me with that rubber band again?!

Ouch!  That hurt.  :(

Playing Dentist.  She can be anything she wants.  ;)  My shweeet leeetle squish.  God love her!

Ok, promising to be in a better mood tomorrow, k?  How can I not?  It’s Friday, after all.

Love y’all!  *hug*

Day 117 of my Project 366.  Wow, this year is surely flyin’.

Photo Friday: Crimson

How did I miss this one?  I’m a little bit late, but better late than never, I always say.  I was born 3 weeks late, after all.  Maybe that’s what’s wrong with me.  ;)  Anywho, I saw the theme for the week and knew immediately which one to post.  Sorry it’s a rerun again, but it was the first to come to mind.  I really need to get out there and take some recent photos.  Maybe this weekend.

Mexican Hats from July 2010 roadtrip.

Doesn’t crimson look delicious?  I could totally eat color.  ;)

Paramedic Fireperson?

One thing I can say – she’s ambitious.  ;)

Her Play was tonight and she was awesome!  Now, we’re home and goin’ to bed.  I’ll have to ask her if I can post some of her “Groovy” pictures.  ;)

Day 114 of my Project 366.  Really?  Seemed like it was post 86 just a couple of days ago.  Wow.  Time sure flies, doesn’t it?

Thank You For This Nomination ;)

I’m so stinkin’ behind on making my rounds and commenting and liking and conversation, as well as responding/posting to these awards nominations.  I will start with the one that’s the farthest back, from March 18.  I’ll try to eventually catch up.  Working full time again, plus being a busy mom of an overachiever, and trying to still keep house, although that’s slackin’, and cook, etc., I just am always running outta time, so please forgive me.

I am so honored and my heart is so warmed by how many of you out there have made a difference in my life.  This blogosphere has shrunk the world for me and it seems as if many of you, who now I consider family and friends, are just down the road, although some are across the pond, as well as the globe.  But getting to know each of you makes the planet seem a lot smaller.  I consider myself very blessed to have met so many inspiring, interesting, kind, hilarious, talented, warm people.  I’m blessed to know you and call you family/friend.  Yes, I’ve adopted some of you, so my family has grown.  ;)

Thank you so much, Kristin, and Claudia, for this generous nomination.  I am always inspired when I read your blogs.  I appreciate you both for your friendship and encouragement.  This is a very cool award.

Here are the rules:

1. First, acknowledge and thank the
giver, link it back, and put the award
on your page.
2. Next, list 7 things about yourself.
3. Last, pass the award to 7 bloggers
who inspire you.

7 things about little ole me:

1. Being a mom is the most awesome experience of my life, but those who know me pretty much already know that.
2. What you may not know is that I was once a carpet cleaner.  Yeah, like…a carpet cleaner.
3. I was in the military from ’92 to ’98.
4.  Blogging is one of my favorite things to do, when I get free time.
5.  Hallie and Mama are my bestest friends in the world.  ;)
6.  Something you may not know?  Wolves are my favorite animal.  I used to consider myself a lone wolf, and I guess, sometimes still do in a sense, but not as much as I used to, because my circle of friends is always growing.  Still, I can identify with wolves.
7.   I LOVE classic rock!  The 70s had the most awesome music.  I also like the 80s, but I think the 70s are probably the best.  I like some of the new stuff too, with Bryan Adams, Phil Collins, Five for Fighting, Switchfoot, The Script, and many, many others.  I like mostly rock, classic, pop, no blues except for Billie Holliday (but she’s not new), no jazz, no rap, well maybe 1 or 2 rap songs, not a lot of country, but a little, no hard rock, although I used to like some hard rock in my younger days, but that only lasted for about 5 minutes.  ;)

Okay, as far as passing it on, I hate to cheat on this part, but really, I am running out of time, plus the thought of leaving someone out or hurting someone’s feelings, I just choose not to do, so here’s the thing:  Each person who comments to this post, I grant you this award, because every single blog that I read is very inspiring to me and I want to nominate all of you, because you deserve it.

And thanks again, Kristin.  You and your blog (Let Life In Practices) are awesome.  And thank you again, Claudia.  I adore you and your blog (Pathfinder:  MotherWifeStudentWorker).  Y’all should totally check them out.  You’ll be glad ya did.

And for my pic for the day:

I think my daughter was a fish in another life. If there’s a body of water within a 50 mile radius, she’s gonna be in it. Even if it’s a puddle. That’s my fault. I taught her to jump in ‘em, and she just never stopped. ;)

Hope y’all had a completely fantastical day and an awesome weekend.  Look out, Monday, ’cause here we come!  Love y’all.  *hug*  Oh, and Happy Earth Day!  Did y’all do anything special for Earth Day?

Day 113 of my Project 366

Weekly Photo Challenge: Sun

I had been snappin’ a few shots of this tree against the beautiful azure sky and got a couple with the sun shining through.  I liked how the sunlight sort of outlines some of the leaves with white light.
